The play button will be red. To activate the device, press the Power button on the control panel. The device will heat up, and the red LED will flash. The machine will beep (3x) and the LED will turn green when the machine is ready to hook up. The selected binding cycle is shown with a blue LED. Use the timer selection buttons to move up or down the scale, if necessary. The scale has 10 settings. For example: Document thickness 6 mm = Setting 1 (up to 60 sheets), Document 30 mm = Setting 10 (up to 300 sheets).
